FRUITFULNESS, MULTIPLICATION AND DOMINION

The divine decree for humanity, pronounced in Genesis 1:28, underscores the themes of fruitfulness, multiplication and dominion. In 2024, we anticipate seasons of suddenlies — extraordinary outpouring of supernatural abundance, increased wealth and good fortune, overflowing into the lives of faithful Christian believers. The sudden shifts are poised to transform our lives forever.

GENESIS 1:28 NKJV

“Then God blessed them, and God said to them, ‘Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.'”

The mandate of multiplication, as declared in Genesis 1:28, is not a mere historical proclamation; it is a living truth that echoes through the corridors of time. In 2024, we are poised to witness the multiplication of God’s favour in our lives. It’s a season where doors will open, opportunities will abound, and the favour of the Almighty will manifest in ways unimaginable. In the midst of unprecedented blessings, Christians are called to embrace gratitude. Gratitude is a powerful spiritual force that opens the floodgates for even more blessings. As we journey through 2024, let our hearts be wellsprings of thanksgiving, acknowledging the goodness of God and His abundant provision.

In this season, we are encouraged to exceed our perceived limitations and strive for the heights that God has destined for us. The seeds of faith we plant will grow into significant accomplishments, and we will celebrate the fulfilment of God’s promises. Fruitfulness extends beyond material prosperity; it includes the realisation of divine purpose and the fulfilment of God-given dreams. Let’s purposefully align our lives with God’s intentions, aiming to bear fruit in every aspect – spiritually, emotionally, and materially.

LIFTING OF SPIRITUAL VEILS (Isaiah 60:2 NKJV)

“For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people; but the Lord will arise over you, and His glory will be seen upon you.”

As spiritual veils lift, 2024 unveils a year of distinctions. The world may experience increased darkness, but Christian believers are called to shine brightly with the light of God’s glory. This is a time for spiritual discernment, where Christians must distinguish themselves through unwavering faith and righteous living.

SUPERNATURAL ENCOUNTERS (Joel 2:28 NKJV)

“And it shall come to pass afterward that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions.”

In 2024, supernatural encounters will intensify, bringing about a divine manifestation of God’s presence. Christians should cultivate a deeper relationship with God through prayer, fasting, and seeking His face to fully experience the supernatural move of His Spirit.

1 John 2:16 says, “For all that is in the world — the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life — is not of the Father but is of the world.”

This year also presents temptations that lead to recklessness and demonic manipulation. Drawing from 1 John 2:16, believers are called to stand firm and to resist the allure of worldly desires. Maintaining vigilance ensures that Christians remain anchored in faith, avoiding the pitfalls that lead to spiritual darkness.

CROSSROADS

The term “crossroads” is not explicitly mentioned in the Bible, but the concept of making choices and decisions is a prominent theme throughout the scriptures. The Bible emphasises the importance of choosing the path of righteousness and walking in obedience to God’s commandments.

ESTHER

The Book of Esther recounts a pivotal story involving Esther, a Jewish orphan who unexpectedly becomes queen of Persia. A crisis unfolds when an influential official, Haman, plots to annihilate the Jewish people. Esther, facing a dilemma, receives crucial guidance from her cousin Mordecai, a “destiny helper.” Mordecai, in Esther 4:13-14 (NKJV), urges her to use her position for a divine purpose, emphasising the significance of her role at that specific time. Mordecai’s intervention prompts Esther to risk her life by approaching the king, resulting in the salvation of the Jewish people. This biblical narrative illustrates the concept of a “destiny helper,” emphasising the crucial role of supportive relationships during critical crossroads in life.

JOSEPH

The story of Joseph in the Bible showcases significant crossroads and divine intervention. Joseph, sold into slavery and falsely accused, found himself in jail, where he accurately interpreted the dreams of Pharaoh’s officials in Genesis 40. Despite initially being forgotten, Joseph’s time in jail became a pivotal moment. Later, when Pharaoh had troubling dreams in Genesis 41, the cupbearer remembered Joseph, leading to his appointment as a high-ranking official. Joseph’s journey from prisoner to influential leader exemplifies how God’s guidance and divine intervention can turn challenging circumstances into a pathway to fulfil a greater purpose (Genesis 40:23, 41:16, 41:39-41).

DAVID

In 1 Samuel 30:6, David and his men faced a critical crossroads when they returned to their camp in Ziklag to find it burned and their families taken captive. As his distressed followers spoke of stoning him, David, in a significant display of character, “strengthened himself in the Lord his God” (1 Samuel 30:6 NKJV). Instead of succumbing to despair, David turned to God for guidance, comfort, and encouragement amid the crisis, showcasing his unwavering faith even in the face of danger and betrayal.

David’s response, seeking strength in the Lord, sharply contrasted with the bitterness and anger of his men. While they considered stoning him, David’s reliance on God paved the way for a resolution. After this pivotal moment, David inquired of the Lord, received divine guidance, pursued the Amalekites, and successfully recovered all that had been taken, including their families. This episode highlights David’s ability to turn to God for strength, guidance, and wisdom during challenging times, demonstrating his profound faith and dependence on the divine in the face of adversity.

BEWARE OF VESSELS OF HONOUR

It is imperative for every Christian to be conscious of the move of God in this season of fruitfulness, multiplication and dominion. And since a declaration of the promise is also a declaration of war, we must be ready to contend for our glorious and divine inheritance in Christ Jesus.

There are four types of vessels the Lord has already positioned in our midst to facilitate Christians to “birth” or bring forth our divine destinies. These vessels of honour are “Spiritual Midwives”, “Watchmen on the wall”, “Destiny Helpers, and “Resourceful and Gifted Ministry Partners”.

They play crucial roles in fostering spiritual growth, protection, guidance, and collaboration amid demonic distractions, in this season of suddenlies.

SPIRITUAL MIDWIVES (Exodus 1:15-21)

Mirroring the courage of Shiphrah and Puah, who defied Pharaoh’s orders to preserve the lives of Hebrew babies, spiritual midwives delicately cradle and nurture budding destinies. Their significance lies in shepherding growth, contributing to the multiplication of divine endeavours as they guide individuals toward their ordained paths.

WATCHMEN ON THE WALL (Isaiah 62:6 & Ezekiel 33)

Echoing the call of Isaiah to be vigilant watchmen, these spiritual sentinels stand as guardians during this season of expansion. Their role is critical, ensuring that the fruits of labour remain untouched by external threats, and that the journey toward dominion is shielded from spiritual adversaries.

DESTINY HELPERS (Ruth 2:20)

In the spirit of Boaz guiding Ruth, destiny helpers, like providential guides, step into the lives of others, offering support and resources to aid in the fulfilment of divine purposes. Their significance becomes pronounced as they become conduits for the multiplication of blessings, fostering a landscape of abundant fruition.

RESOURCEFUL AND GIFTED MINISTRY PARTNERS (1 Peter 2:5)

1 Peter 2:5 says, “. . . you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ”

In 1 Peter 2:5, believers are likened to “living stones,” crucial in constructing a spiritual house, the collective body of believers. Resourceful and gifted ministry partners, analogous to diverse stones, actively contribute to the growth and beauty of this dynamic community. The verse emphasises believers as a “holy priesthood,” signifying every individual’s priestly role and direct access to God.

Resourceful ministry partners, endowed with various gifts, guide others in connecting with God, fostering unity and spiritual intimacy. The concept of “spiritual sacrifices” highlights worship and service, with gifted ministry partners playing a vital role in encouraging these offerings. Working together in interconnected roles, ministry partners create a harmonious and effective spiritual house, where each person’s gifts complement and support others.

THE APPLICATION OF WISDOM

Mastering the art of wise living involves practical applications drawn from biblical wisdom. As Philippians 4:13 declares, “I can do all this through him who gives me strength.”

Cultivate spiritual discernment by seeking the guidance of the Holy Spirit in every decision, trusting in Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”

Actively pursue wisdom through a deep engagement with God’s Word, treasuring His commands in your heart, as urged in Proverbs 2:1-6. Walk in wisdom, making intentional and prudent choices in alignment with Ephesians 5:15-17, “See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time because the days are evil.”

These principles serve as a roadmap for effectively applying wisdom in this extraordinary season of suddenlies, anchored in the timeless truths of Scripture.

In conclusion, 2024 is a pivotal year marked by fruitfulness, multiplication, and dominion. Christians must navigate these times with a steadfast commitment to righteousness, discernment, and a deep reliance on God’s guidance to avoid the looming pitfalls of spiritual darkness.
